Our client was a salesman who depends on his driving licence for his job. He had been summonsed for speeding and already had 9 points on his licence and would therefore have been liable for disqualification if the usual 3-6 points had been imposed. We persuaded the magistrates that there were special reasons as to why they should not endorse his licence, namely medical emergency.
