We successfully defended a client charged with 21 counts alleging rape, indecent assault, gross indecency and assault against his stepdaughter when she was aged between 8-11. She was 14 when she made the allegations of sexual abuse. The complainant was memorandum interviewed 3 times, and was examined by a forensic medical examine after the first interview who found that there was no physical evidence of sexual abuse. Our case preparation included the instruction of defence experts to examine a number of issues, including the complainant’s personal computer.
