We represented a private hire taxi driver summonsed for plying for hire without a Hackney licence and therefore driving without insurance. He would have lost his private hire badge and would have been at risk of disqualification if convicted. We successfully defended him at trial, persuading the magistrates that he genuinely thought that the undercover licencing officer was his pre -booked fare.
