Our client was successfully defended in proceedings brought by HM Customs and Excise. He was alleged to have conspired with a group involved in the importation of a ton of cannabis into the UK. It was alleged that he had acted as the criminal consortium's money launderer. The client's involvement was found not proved at the close of the prosecution case and he was acquitted on all counts
