Dangerous Driving

18 January 2004

Our client was a business man charged with dangerous driving in which the Crown alleged that he overtook a line of slow moving Heavy Goods Vehicles in the face of on-coming traffic, forcing one of them off the road. If convicted he would have faced a mandatory minimum disqualification of at least 12 months and an extended driving test before he could get his driving licence back. Following our representations, the charge was reduced to careless driving and the court imposed 5 penalty points and a modest fine.
