Press Release

Charting the revolution

11 November 2005

Tuckers partner, Andrew Keogh, will address the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates at their annual conference in London tomorrow. Andrew will explore a thesis that argues Judges, and not Parliament, have taken the initiative on case management, and that solicitors are better placed than most to seize and lead the fast paced agenda sweeping through our criminal courts. Andrew will explore a line of argument, beginning with Lord Auld's review of the criminal courts, encompassing ground breaking authorities such as R v Gleeson, and culminating (for now at least) in the Criminal Procedure Rules 2005.
